UPDATE: I am currently teaching sewing private lessons (one-on-one at regular classroom price). Machines, supplies are sanitized between students. Masks are not required; however, I will be wearing one when working closely with a student. The curriculum follows standard beginner and intermediate outlined below. Beginner Sewing Lessons for adults (18 and older) meets on Thursday for 6 weeks. All supplies and machines provided for each week’s lesson.
Aug 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, and Sep 5 (Thursdays 6:30-8:30pm) – CLASS IS FULL
Sep 10, 17, 24, Oct 1, 8, 15 (Tuesdays 6:30-8:30pm) – CLASS IS FULL
Jan 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, and Feb 6 2020 (Thursdays 6:00 – 8:00 pm) – CLASS IS FULL
Feb 11, 18, 25, Mar 3, 7, and 10 2020 (Tuesdays 6:00-8:00pm) CLASS IS FULL
Mar 26, Apr 2, 9, 19, 23, and 30 2020 (Thursdays 6:00-8:00pm) CLASS IS FULL
A $30 non-refundable deposit required to reserve a seat. Remaining $150 balance will be invoiced at a later date and is due June 18th. Total tuition for the 6 weeks is $180 (includes all supplies, machine usage, snack/drink for each week’s lesson).
Week 1 – Introduction to sewing machines, safety, sew a pillow, create an applique, and hand close using ladder/hidden stitch.
Week 2 – Sewing project using elastic.
Week 3 – Ruffle project.
Week 4 – Zipper project.
Week 5 – Final project sewing from a pattern.
Week 6 – Final project sewing from a pattern.
ADULT INTERMEDIATE -Intermediate Sewing Lessons meets for 6 weeks. All supplies, machine, and snack/drink provided for each week’s lesson. It is recommended the student have gone through the Beginner Lessons or be able to do the tasks listed in the Beginner Lessons above.

Week 1 – Fabric Store Field Trip – finding your garment pattern, fabric, thread and embellishment. Ordering cuts at the counter. We will be learning how to overlock/serge our garment pieces, darting, button holes, and other skills at the intermediate level.
